Restaurant Brings Approximately 80 Jobs to Community, Donates $25,000 to Address Food Insecurity
CAMARILLO, Calif. (April 25, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is ready to serve the Camarillo community at its first location opening on Thursday, May 1, 2025, creating approximately 80 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Thad Ewing to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Camarillo Outlets.
Located at 670 Ventura Blvd., the new restaurant will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, carry-out, delivery and catering.

“I am very grateful for my time in the Los Angeles County Fire Department and am thankful for all the outstanding Fire Service and Law Enforcement personnel who work hard to keep our community safe,” said Thad Ewing, local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Camarillo Outlets. “We look forward to supporting them and all of our Guests in a myriad of ways as a beacon of hospitality in Camarillo."
- Serving the community has always been a driving force in Ewing’s professional career. Prior to becoming a local Owner-Operator at Chick-fil-A, he served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
- He then served as fire captain with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which allowed him to be at the forefront of emergency operations.
- After retiring from both roles, Ewing sought out ways to continue making an impact in the community, which led him to exploring a career at Chick-fil-A. What Ewing appreciated most about Chick-fil-A was how the brand encouraged Operators to create meaningful relationships in the communities where they serve Guests, and the ability to positively impact the lives of Team Members.
- With the opening of Chick-fil-A Camarillo Outlets, Ewing looks forward to investing in the success of his Team Members, while positively contributing to the community he calls home.

- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 35 million meals to date.

- Recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Camarillo community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
