Restaurant celebrates with Cows Eat Free offer on opening day
HARRISBURG, Penn. (Oct. 16, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Harrisburg community at its newest location on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Lauren Tindell to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A I-81 & Progress Ave.
To celebrate the opening, Tindell and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 2007 Dotson Court, Chick-fil-A I-81 & Progress Ave will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and Mobile Thru.

Originally from Virginia Beach, Tindell grew up immersed in Chick-fil-A while working in her father’s restaurant, where he served as the local Owner-Operator. Watching him lead with excellence and care for the community inspired her to follow in his footsteps and pursue a similar path of service and leadership.
Tindell went on to join the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, gaining hands-on experience in restaurants across the country. Along the way, she developed a special connection to the Northeast and a vision for building strong, people-centered teams in that region. Now, as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A I-81 & Progress Ave, Tindell is eager to serve the Harrisburg community by building a business that not only serves delicious food but also fosters genuine connection.

Tindell is committed to giving back to the Harrisburg community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank serving the greater Harrisburg area, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.Creating approximately 120 jobs in the Harrisburg community.
