Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year

KING GEORGE, Va. (Nov. 2, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant will begin serving the King George community on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Nolan Volk as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A King George.   

Located at 16423 Commerce Drive, Chick-fil-A King George will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dine-in and carry-out, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. for drive-thru, Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A King George can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A^® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One^® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The King George restaurant joins more than 90 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Washington D.C. market.   

Locally Owned and Operated
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.   

In King George, Volk will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.   

Hailing from the Northeast, Volk first experienced Chick-fil-A in high school when his family moved to North Carolina. He served as a part-time Team Member throughout high school and college at his local Chick-fil-A, where he experienced the power of mentorship from the local Owner-Operator. After graduating from college, Volk led in operational roles spanning from information technology to nonprofits before feeling called to return to the restaurant company.   

For Volk, being a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator is a family business, and his wife Rachel and brother Sam will work alongside him to help serve the guests of King George. Volk’s goal for the restaurant is to be a cornerstone in King George, to always serve his guests with a smile and show care for neighbors in the community. He also looks forward to supporting the next generation of leaders at Chick-fil-A King George, passing on the same personal and professional development he experienced while serving as a Team Member.  

“My desire is for the restaurant to feel like a home to all who enter,” Volk said. “I can’t wait for families to come together in our dining room and share dreams like mine did growing up. I look forward to our guests feeling cared for the moment they step foot into the restaurant, and I can’t wait to invest in my Team Members and the King George community.”   

Caring for the King George Community  
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater King George area to aid in the fight against hunger.  

In addition, Chick-fil-A King George is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the King George area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.  

Volk’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table^® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
