Restaurant Celebrates with Cows Eat Free Offer on Opening Day and $25,000 Donation to Address Food Insecurity

LIVE OAK, Fla. (July 10, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant will begin serving the Live Oak community at its newest location on Thursday, July 17 at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 120 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Neal Rodgers as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Live Oak.

To celebrate the restaurant opening, Rodgers and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.

Located at 1801 Ohio Ave. N, Chick-fil-A Live Oak will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and catering.

“When I first started at Chick-fil-A, I never imagined it would take me across the country, open doors I didn’t even know existed, and allow me to do something I love alongside the people I love,” said Rodgers. “My family and I are proud to put down roots in Live Oak and create a place where our community can come together and feel genuinely cared for.”  

• Before joining Chick-fil-A, Rodgers worked in the service and financial industries, deepening his passion for servant leadership and entrepreneurship.
• He began his Chick-fil-A career in Greenville, South Carolina, and later joined the Chick-fil-A^® Leadership Development Program, where he and his wife, Amy, supported 23 restaurant openings over five years.
• Inspired by his experiences in small towns across the country, Rodgers knew he wanted to one day lead a restaurant of his own. Now, he and his family have relocated to Live Oak and are excited to make a lasting impact in the community.

Rodgers is committed to giving back to the Live Oak community by:

• Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table^® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
• Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America, benefiting local hunger relief through Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Second Harvest of the Big Bend, Inc. in the greater Tallahassee area.
