Restaurant Celebrates with Cows Eat Free Offer on Opening Day and
$25,000 Donation to Address Food Insecurity
IRVINE, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Irvine community at its newest location on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025 at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 75 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Chris Johnson as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A MacArthur Blvd at 405.
To celebrate the restaurant opening, Johnson and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant.
Located at 18542 MacArthur Blvd., Chick-fil-A MacArthur Blvd at 405 will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. offering dine-in, carry-out and third-party delivery and a one-of-a-kind Mobile Thru lane designed to introduce convenience for Guests looking for a faster-than-drive-thru experience.

Johnson is no stranger to the restaurant industry, having previously owned another quick-service restaurant, where he developed a deep respect for Chick-fil-A’s reputation for excellence in customer service and operations. After stepping away from his previous role, his curiosity about Chick-fil-A grew and led him to visit the Chick-fil-A Support Center in Atlanta. The culture, people and values he experienced there left a lasting impression, and he recognized a clear alignment with his own passion for leadership, service and community impact. Johnson began working at Chick-fil-A as a Team Member in 2018, where his development under the mentorship of a fellow local Owner-Operator led to Johnson being selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Milpitas in 2022. He and his family are relocating to Irvine and are grateful for the opportunity to serve this community.

Johnson is committed to giving back to the Irvine community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, a Feeding America food bank partner, in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Orange County area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
