Restaurant Celebrates with Cows Eat Free Offer on Opening Day and $25,000 Donation to Address Food Insecurity
McHENRY, III. (Aug. 18, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the McHenry community at its new location on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Avery Moore as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A McHenry.
To celebrate the restaurant opening, Moore and her team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 1911 N. Richmond Road, Chick-fil-A McHenry will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, catering and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A McHenry will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

“Chick-fil-A has been part of my story in countless ways, from becoming my first job to helping pay my college tuition and introducing me to my husband, Elijah,” said Moore. “Now, I’m grateful for the opportunity to pay forward the same opportunities I was given and serve this great community. My hope is to build a place where Guests and Team Members feel genuinely cared for every time they come to my restaurant.”
Moore began her career with Chick-fil-A in 2017. It was while working as a Team Member that she discovered her passion for serving others. After gaining valuable leadership experience, she joined the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program to further her skills, both personally and within the restaurant business.
Caring for the McHenry Community
Moore is committed to giving back to the McHenry community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Chicagoland area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
