Restaurant Brings Approximately 125 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes With Free Chick-fil-A Meals for a Year

MONROE, Mich. (Nov. 28, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant will begin serving the Monroe community on Thursday, Dec. 1. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Dustin Schultes as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Monroe (MI).  

Located at 2071 N. Telegraph Road, Chick-fil-A Monroe (MI) will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Monroe (MI) can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A^® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One^® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Monroe restaurant joins 11 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Detroit market.  

Locally Owned and Operated  
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the areas in which they serve.  

In Monroe, Schultes will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 125 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.  

At 16 years old, Schultes began working as a Team Member at his local Chick-fil-A and quickly became inspired by the positive impact his Operator, Scott Robinson, had on his personal life and community. Schultes received a scholarship from Chick-fil-A, Inc. for his studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and later went on to be accepted into the company’s Leadership Development Program, which gives future leaders the chance to learn alongside Operators all across the U.S. and Canada. Upon completion of the program, Schultes joined the team at the Allen Park restaurant, where he fell in love with Michigan. He has since planted roots in the Mitten State alongside his wife, Brittany, who he met through Chick-fil-A. Just as his former Operator mentored him from a young age, Schultes looks forward to providing the same level of leadership, guidance and encouragement to his Team Members in his new role as Operator of Chick-fil-A Monroe (MI).

Growing up in Alabama, it was our family’s tradition to drive 25 minutes to the closest Chick-fil-A to celebrate any accomplishment or special occasion by sharing a meal together,” Schultes said, “I look forward to helping my Team Members achieve and celebrate their own accomplishments while striving to be the best versions of themselves on a daily basis.” 

Caring for the Monroe Community  
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Detroit area to aid in the fight against hunger.  

Chick-fil-A Monroe (MI) is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Monroe area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.  

Schultes’ restaurant will be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ Program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
