Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Jobs to Community, Donates $25,000 to Address Food Insecurity

NANUET, N.Y. (August 7, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is ready to serve Nanuet at its newest location opening on Thursday, August 14, creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Ellie Kim to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Nanuet.

Located at 70 E. Route 59, the new restaurant will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and catering.

Locally Owned and Operated
“After nearly two decades as a local Owner-Operator, I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to open Chick-fil-A Nanuet in such a tight-knit, vibrant community that I call home,” said Kim. “What excites me most – beyond being back in a community where much of my family still lives – is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with local schools, first responders, businesses, and, of course, the residents of Nanuet. My goal is to create a welcoming space where the community feels at home.”

  • Kim has longstanding ties to the Nanuet area, having lived just minutes from the restaurant before moving to Washington, D.C. in 2006 to open her first Chick-fil-A.
  • She led that restaurant until 2018, when she relocated back to New York and became the local Owner-Operator of a Chick-fil-A restaurant near Grand Central Station in New York City.
  • A former attorney, Kim holds degrees from New York University and Rutgers School of Law. Born and raised in South Korea, she was introduced to Chick-fil-A through friends who had become local Owner-Operators, sparking her interest in the brand and inspiring her to pursue a career with the company.

Caring for the Nanuet Community
Kim is committed to giving back to the Nanuet community by:

  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater New York area to aid in the fight against hunger.
