Restaurant celebrates with Cows Eat Free offer on opening day
LINCOLN, Neb. (Oct. 9, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Lincoln community at its newest location on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Mike Stice to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A North Star Crossing, marking his second restaurant in the community.
To celebrate the opening, Stice and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 5805 N. 28th St., Chick-fil-A North Star Crossing will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A North Star Crossing will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

Stice opened his first restaurant, Chick-fil-A 48th & O Street, in 2019 and has spent the past six years building a team known for its warmth, consistency and commitment to the Lincoln community. His new location builds on that same foundation, with several familiar Team Members helping bring the warm culture to life. Stice and his team look forward to creating another space that feels connected to the community, where familiar faces are greeted by name and care shows up in small, everyday ways.
Caring for the Lincoln Community
Stice is committed to giving back to the Lincoln community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 90 jobs.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Food Bank of Lincoln, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
