Restaurant celebrates with Cows Eat Free offer on opening day
RICHMOND, Ind. (Oct. 23, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Richmond community at its newest location on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Ben Brumfiel to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Richmond.
To celebrate the opening, Brumfiel and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 5901 National Road E., Chick-fil-A Richmond will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and Mobile Thru. For added convenience, the drive-thru will remain open until 10 p.m. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Richmond will also feature a play space to serve Guests with children.

“Bringing the first Chick-fil-A to Richmond is an incredible honor, not just for my family and me, but for the entire community,” said Brumfiel. “My team and I get to introduce the community to Chick-fil-A for the first time. For us, that means more than delicious food. It’s about how it feels to walk in, be welcomed and experience something truly remarkable. We can’t wait to greet Guests in their cow spots on opening day and welcome back familiar faces as the weeks go on.”
Brumfiel’s journey with Chick-fil-A began in 2015 as a Team Member to help pay for his college education. Since then, he has served in a variety of leadership roles, including more than two years with the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, where he traveled the country supporting restaurants and serving diverse communities — a highlight of his career. Now, as Richmond prepares to welcome its first Chick-fil-A, Brumfiel looks forward to putting down roots, building a culture of intentional care and helping shape a positive first impression that lasts.

Brumfiel is committed to giving back to the Richmond community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc., a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Creating approximately 110 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
