Locally Owned and Operated
“Chick-fil-A’s mission to positively impact everyone it touches deeply resonates with my own values,” said Stockdale. “In the seven years operating Chick-fil-A Ear of Corn and the Tri-State Food Truck, I’ve had the privilege of leading an exceptional team and building relationships with the Rochester community. Now, I’m excited to grow that impact even further – continuing to serve this community with great food and genuine care, all guided by our mission: to win hearts with uncommon care.”
More About Matt Stockdale
- Stockdale’s interest in Chick-fil-A began after learning more about the brand and its unique Owner-Operator model. In August 2016, he expressed interest in becoming a local Owner-Operator, and nine months later, he was selected to open Chick-fil-A Ear of Corn.
- Noticing how families of hospitalized children often miss out on shared meals, Stockdale and his team began serving monthly dinners at a local children’s hospital. Embodying Chick-fil-A’s signature care and hospitality, this tradition has become central to Matt’s leadership.
Cows Eat Free to Celebrate Chick-fil-A Rochester-Miracle Mile
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, cows will eat free on opening day! Stockdale and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for one free entrée.
- Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Rochester’s turn to join the herd.
- Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée* in person inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Caring for the Rochester Community
Stockdale is committed to giving back to the Rochester community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to Channel One Regional Food Bank to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- In Rochester, Stockdale’s restaurants partner with Community Food Response to donate surplus food. His Chick-fil-A Ear of Corn restaurant has helped provide nearly 20,000 meals through the partnership.
