Restaurant Celebrates with Cows Eat Free Offer on Opening Day and $25,000 Donation to Address Food Insecurity

PLACENTIA, Calif. (Oct. 2, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Placentia community at its first location on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at 6:00 a.m., creating approximately 70 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Chrissy Hartmann as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Rose & Alta Vista, marking her second restaurant in the community.

To celebrate the restaurant opening, Hartmann and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.

Located at 1200 E Alta Vista Street, Chick-fil-A Rose & Alta Vista will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Rose & Alta Vista will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

Locally Owned and Operated
“My journey to Chick-fil-A has been an unexpected but welcomed surprise,” said Hartmann. “From landing my first job with the company as a teenager, unsure about what the role would entail, to now opening my second restaurant, it’s been such an enriching experience. I’m proud to bring the same opportunities to my teams, and to bring Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality to the community that means so much to me.”

Hartmann was born just 11 miles from Chick-fil-A Rose & Alta Vista in Tustin. Her journey with
Chick-fil-A began as a Team Member in 2004, while in high school. In search of a summer job, she landed at Chick-fil-A, not knowing how the company would shape her life’s trajectory. For 13 years, she served alongside local Owner-Operator, Zack Derelioglu, whose passion for leadership and community involvement inspired her to pursue the same career path. In 2017, she was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A The Brea Plaza, which she will continue to operate alongside this new restaurant.

Caring for the Placentia Community
Hartmann is committed to giving back to the Placentia community by:

  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Los Angeles area to aid in the fight against hunger.
  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
