Restaurant celebrates with Cows Eat Free offer on opening day and $25,000 donation to address food insecurity
SEGUIN, Texas (Oct. 16, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Seguin community at its first location on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 100 jobs.
Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Weillen Garduno-Hernandez to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Seguin.
To celebrate the opening, Garduno-Hernandez and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 1650 CH Matthies Jr, Chick-fil-A Seguin will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, catering and Mobile Thru.

“It is such an honor to be selected as the local Owner-Operator of Seguin’s first Chick-fil-A,” said Garduno-Hernandez. “Since joining the company as a teenager, I’ve always valued how Chick-fil-A isn’t just a restaurant that serves delicious food, but one that shows genuine care and hospitality to each community it serves.”
Garduno-Hernandez began her Chick-fil-A journey at just 16 years old as a Team Member in Atlanta. What began as a first job soon evolved into a lifelong passion for leadership and service. Over the years, Weillen has worked in multiple restaurants across Texas, training shoulder-to-shoulder with Team Members and fellow Operators to learn business operations and understand how Chick-fil-A meaningfully invests in the communities it serves. She credits her time with Chick-fil-A as an experience that helped her build resilience and develop strong leadership foundations. With the opening of Chick-fil-A Seguin, Garduno-Hernandez is excited to bring that same commitment to excellence and care to the community – serving high-quality food with purpose while creating meaningful opportunities for her team to grow, lead and thrive.

Garduno-Hernandez is committed to giving back to the Seguin community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Seguin area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
