Chick-fil-A Announces New Brooklyn Restaurant, Creating over 75 Jobs

Cows eat free on opening day at Chick-fil-A Smith & Livingston

NEW YORK (July 17, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving Guests in Brooklyn on Thursday, July 24 at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Rafael Camargo to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Smith & Livingston. The new restaurant brings approximately 75 jobs to the community. 

To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, cows will eat free on opening day! Rafael and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots at the restaurant on opening day for one free entrée! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are encouraged to join the fun. The celebration takes place on opening day, offering the community a chance to celebrate the iconic Chick-fil-A Cows seen in TV commercials and on billboards. Guests dressed in cow attire can redeem the offer of one free entrée* inside the restaurant. 

Located at 31 Smith St., Chick-fil-A Smith & Livingston will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering carry-out and delivery.

  • Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for service, Rafael has gained ten years of hands-on experience at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the Tri-State region.

Caring for the Brooklyn Community 
Camargo is committed to giving back to the Brooklyn community by:

  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater New York area to aid in the fight against hunger.
