14 Restaurant Team Members Receive $25,000 Scholarships, Including the 100th True Inspiration Scholarship Winner
Team Members are the heartbeat of Chick-fil-A® restaurants. Whether serving Guests with a signature “my pleasure” or providing exceptional hospitality, they are known for going above and beyond.
In recognition of their hard work and dedication to their jobs, schools and communities, Chick-fil-A, Inc. awards two types of scholarships to restaurant Team Members: True Inspiration™ Scholarships ($25,000) and Remarkable Futures Scholarships ($1,000 or $2,500) as part of the Remarkable Futures™ Scholarships initiative. Since 1973, more than 105,000 Team Members have received more than $191 million through scholarship giving at Chick-fil-A.

Meet this year’s winners
This year, Chick-fil-A awarded a record high of 14 True Inspiration Scholarships, including the first-ever $25,000 recipient in Canada and the 100th $25,000 winner in the company’s history of awarding scholarships.
Recipients applied and were nominated by local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators, and were ultimately selected from Chick-fil-A restaurants across North America:

- Erin Watts – Camden, S.C.
- Fam Tial – Amarillo, Texas
- Kayla Vance – Avondale, Ariz.
- Luke Marasco – Monroeville, Pa.
- Noel Hwang – Daly City, Calif.
- Peyton Edwards – Virginia Beach, Va.
- Ryan Fist – Algonquin, Ill.
- Sophia Ferinde – Fredericksburg, Va.
- Teri McCord – Bainbridge, Ga.
- Vivian Smith – Fort Mill, S.C.
- Yazmeen George – Cincinnati, Ohio

Being selected for a True Inspiration Scholarship is no easy feat, as winners must meet a variety of criteria, including having a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, demonstrating care and commitment to serving their communities and more.
