Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community

MOUNT AIRY, Md. (Nov. 29, 2021) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Mount Airy on Thursday, Dec. 2. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Jason Bearinger as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Ridgeside Drive. Bearinger will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Ridgeside Drive is located at 1705 Ridgeside Drive, just off the Baltimore National Pike exit, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A Ridgeside Drive will open with full-service dine-in and drive-thru, with third-party delivery available shortly after the opening. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Ridgeside Drive will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Mount Airy with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Mount Airy area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Locally Owned and Operated

Chick-fil-A Ridgeside Drive is locally owned and operated by Jason Bearinger. A native of Maryland, Bearinger earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Frostburg State University. After graduating, he went on to work in elementary education for nearly 20 years and developed a passion for mentoring youth. Interested in a career shift that would allow him to continue this passion, Bearinger set his sights on becoming a Chick-fil-A Operator. In 2015, Bearinger was selected to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Apple Blossom Mall in Winchester, Va. After serving the Winchester community for six years, Bearinger is thrilled to return to his home state and transition into his new role as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Ridgeside Drive. Alongside his wife, Heather, and their six children, Bearinger looks forward to building new and meaningful relationships in the Mount Airy community.
