Recruiting top-tier talent
We know that recruiting and hiring talent which represents the broadest definition of diversity enables Chick-fil-A to best serve our independent Owner/Operators and our guests. To help us do that, we partner with colleges and universities in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada to source talent for a range of opportunities including internships, co-ops, fellowships, and various development programs. In addition, we routinely collaborate with various national diverse professional development organizations. These organizations have included Women’s Foodservice Forum, National Black MBA Association and Association of Latino Professionals of America.

Providing access to education
Chick-fil-A, Inc. provides opportunities for education and growth to Chick-fil-A® Restaurant Team Members through our Remarkable Futures™ Scholarship program. We have invested more than $112 million in scholarships to help over 67,000 Team Members pursue a college education and achieve their remarkable future — whether it’s with Chick-fil-A or elsewhere.

Engaging through Chick-fil-A Community Groups
To successfully grow our business, it’s important that we support the personal growth of our Support Center staff. Chick-fil-A Community Groups help provide both a sense of belonging and tailored development while allowing us to connect with and learn from one another. A wide range of Community Groups are available to staff, such as Women in Business (WIB), Black Employee Resource Group (BERG), Young Professionals, and the Chick-fil-A Green Team.
Staff also have other opportunities to build community and develop professionally, including through Chick-fil-A Learning Circles and our “Food for Thought” Speaker Series. -
Fostering diverse supplier partnerships
In 2015, we began a partnership with Thrive Farmers®, which continues to be our U.S. and Canada coffee supplier today. Thrive Farmers has a unique revenue-sharing model that allows for coffee farmers to receive higher wages and a more stable income stream.
In addition to our partnership with Thrive Farmers, we are developing mentorship, development, and partnership opportunities for minority-owned businesses to strategically engage within our supply chain and are working to provide additional support through the launch of several Supplier Diversity efforts, including an annual development forum. -

Elevating organizations in the community
Through Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s True Inspiration Awards® program, we honor the legacy of our founder and celebrate and support nonprofits that make an impact in their communities. Since 2015, $17 million has been granted to over 200 recipient organizations in the U.S. and Canada.
Locally, Chick-fil-A Operators are known for giving back generously to causes that are important to their communities. -
Fighting hunger in our world
In honor of each new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A donates $25,000 to support a local food pantry in every market in which we operate, with the aim of funds being distributed to partners within the restaurant’s community to aid in the fight against hunger.
Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has contributed $6 million to ensure equitable access to nutritious food. -
Nourishing communities through Chick-fil-A Shared Table®
Over 1,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ program, which bridges the gap between Chick-fil-A Operators and local agencies like shelters, soup kitchens and charities. Chick-fil-A Team Members package up surplus food, which is then picked up by partner organizations to be incorporated into the meals they serve weekly.
To date, more than 10 million meals have been served from donations in Canada and in the U.S. -
Helping nonprofits scale their impact
We offer development opportunities and resources for non-profits to increase their impact in Atlanta through a free annual conference called Chick-fil-A Impact Accelerator.
Locally, our franchised restaurant Operators give back in a variety of ways, including through fundraisers with schools and food donations to non-profits.

Franchised Operators
Most Chick-fil-A restaurant businesses are independently owned and operated by franchisees (Operators) who live and work in the communities they serve.
Many Operators have established their own community networks. For example, the African American Operator’s Network (AAON) provides speaker series and development opportunities for franchisees and supports local community efforts.
Operators have access to a wide range of leadership, hospitality, and cultural intelligence resources through Chick-fil-A, Inc., which they may choose to leverage to meet the unique needs of their teams.
Operators are known for developing their Team Members and giving back generously to their communities, including through local fundraisers, food donations, and more.
Team Members
Most Chick-fil-A® restaurant businesses are independently owned and operated. At franchised Chick-fil-A restaurant locations, Team Members are employees of the franchised Operator.
While there are more than 170,000 Team Members across the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada representing the Chick-fil-A brand, what we all have in common is a heart for serving our communities.
Team Members have the opportunity for development at their restaurants, can apply for college scholarships through the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ scholarship program, and have access to tuition discounts at over 100 colleges and universities nationwide.
