Restaurant Celebrates with Cows Eat Free Offer on Opening Day and $25,000 Donation to Address Food Insecurity
FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 3, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Frederick community at its newest location on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at 6 a.m., creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Aaron Crunkilton as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Ballenger Creek, marking his second restaurant in the community.
To celebrate the restaurant opening, Crunkilton and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 5308 New Design Rd, Chick-fil-A Ballenger Creek will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and Mobile Thru.

“Since starting in this business in high school, I’ve seen it make an incredible difference in people’s lives—both inside and outside the restaurant,” said Crunkilton. “Opening a second location allows me to expand that reach and create more opportunities, and for that, I’m truly grateful. My hope for this new restaurant is to continue paying it forward to the Frederick community and beyond.”
Born and raised in Westminster, Crunkilton has deep roots in the Frederick area, where, while growing up, he often spent time playing sports and enjoying meals at the local Chick-fil-A restaurant. He first discovered his passion for the restaurant and hospitality industry in high school when he started working as a Chick-fil-A Team Member. In college, he was awarded a Remarkable FuturesTM Scholarship and later completed the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program. In 2019, he was selected to own and operate Chick-fil-A Frederick – the very location he visited in his youth. Today, he continues to lead that restaurant in addition to opening this new location, Chick-fil-A Ballenger Creek.

Crunkilton is committed to giving back to the Frederick community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Frederick County area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
