Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
BATESVILLE, Miss. (April 30, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Batesville community at its first location on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Sarah Newbauer as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Batesville.
To celebrate, Newbauer and team are inviting the community to show their spots at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Customers of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 193 Covenant Drive, Chick-fil-A Batesville will serve Customers Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and mobile pick-up. As Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Batesville will also feature an indoor play area, providing parents visibility so they can relax while children play.

Newbauer’s Chick-fil-A career began in Georgia, where she experienced firsthand the power of genuine hospitality and servant leadership as a Team Member. Inspired by her brother, John Millender who is a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator in Texas, and her former Operator, Shane Todd, she quickly discovered her passion for creating environments where people are encouraged and challenged. Now, nearly two decades later, Newbauer looks forward to celebrating this exciting new beginning with her family and creating a place where Customers feel welcomed and the community is inspired.
Caring for the Batesville Community
Newbauer is committed to giving back to the Batesville community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Memphis area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 100 jobs.
