Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Sept. 3, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Van Buren Township community on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Matthew Carpenter as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Belleville.
To celebrate, Carpenter and team are inviting the community to show their spots at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 10150 Belleville Road, Chick-fil-A Belleville will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Belleville will also feature a playground for Guests with children.

“Growing up, my local Chick-fil-A was more than a restaurant. It was where my community gathered and where I saw firsthand the impact a restaurant can have on the people it serves,” said Carpenter. “That experience ultimately inspired me to pursue a career where I could invest directly in people. As we open the first Chick-fil-A in Van Buren Township, my hope is to create that same sense of community for our Team Members and our neighbors.”
Carpenter began his career in the accounting field before changing paths in 2019 to pursue his passion for developing people and serving others at Chick-fil-A. He first joined Chick-fil-A as a restaurant Finance Director, while also immersing himself in restaurant operations and learning each position from the ground up. He later joined the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program to further develop his leadership and restaurant operations skills. Now, as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Belleville, Carpenter brings that passion full circle: building a restaurant that invests in its people and becomes a meaningful part of the community.
Caring for the Van Buren Township Community
Carpenter is committed to giving back to the Van Buren Township community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts, with $12,500 benefiting Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan and $12,500 benefiting Forgotten Harvest, Feeding America partner food banks, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 50 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 120 jobs.
