Restaurant opening supports local nonprofit partners and expands food donation program

CINCINNATI (Oct. 20, 2026) – Chick-fil-A® is continuing its commitment to care for the communities it serves with the opening of Chick-fil-A Clifton on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026. To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. is donating $45,000 to support hunger relief in the greater Cincinnati community, including $25,000 to Feeding America® benefitting Freestore Foodbank, $10,000 to Our Daily Bread and $10,000 Last Mile Food Rescue.

The restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program in partnership with Our Daily Bread and Last Mile Food Rescue. Through the program, Last Mile Food Rescue will coordinate the collection and delivery of surplus food from the restaurant to Our Daily Bread, where it will be used to prepare meals for neighbors in need. With the addition of Chick-fil-A Clifton, the Shared Table program has reached 100% participation among Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Cincinnati area. To date, the program has helped create more than 50 million meals nationwide.

Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Kevin Lopez as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Clifton. Located at 198 E. McMillan St., the new restaurant will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and catering.

Locally Owned and Operated
“Cincinnati is where I first began to understand how deeply opportunity can shape a person’s future,” said Lopez. “During my time with Teach for America, I saw firsthand that education is an important part of strengthening a community, but so are access to meaningful employment and basic needs like food. To return to this community with my family and celebrate this opening with $45,000 supporting organizations that care for our neighbors is incredibly meaningful. I’m grateful for the opportunity to build on that work by creating jobs, developing our Team Members and serving Guests for years to come.”

Lopez’s journey to becoming a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator is rooted in a longtime passion for serving others. After graduating college, he joined Teach for America’s first Cincinnati cohort in 2012, teaching students just blocks away from his new restaurant. After spending four years in a corporate sales role at Proctor & Gamble, Lopez’s desire to make an even broader impact grew, leading him to pursue entrepreneurship and ultimately become a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator in Philadelphia in 2023. Now, he and his wife are returning to Cincinnati, her hometown, bringing Lopez back to the community where his passion for creating opportunity and serving others first took root.

The new restaurant will create approximately 125 jobs. To learn more about careers at Chick-fil-A Clifton, click here.
