Chick-fil-A Announces New East Greenwich Restaurant, Opening Jan. 15

Restaurant Creates Approximately 110 Jobs, Guests Invited to Dress in Cow Print on Opening Day for Free Entrée

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (Jan. 8, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving Guests in East Greenwich on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Mike Dacey to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A East Greenwich.  

Located at 1225 Division St., Chick-fil-A East Greenwich will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and Mobile Thru. The new restaurant brings approximately 110 jobs to the community and will be the second restaurant in the state.  

To celebrate the opening, Guests are welcome to join the fun by dressing in cow print on opening day to receive a free entrée.

“I’ve loved Chick-fil-A since childhood and exploring a career with the company showed me a new way to make an even greater impact in the community,” Dacey said. “After years of working in my hometown, opening Chick-fil-A East Greenwich is an exciting next step, and I look forward to creating a place where great food, genuine hospitality and community connection are at the heart of everything we do.” 

More About Dacey 

  • As an East Greenwich native, Dacey is committed to investing in the community that shaped him. He also has a young family in the East Greenwich school system and is actively involved with youth basketball and soccer. Dacey is passionate about building and developing a team by helping them gain the professional skills and confidence needed to take the next step in their careers, whether inside or outside the restaurant.   
  • Before becoming a local Owner-Operator, Mike built a diverse professional background, including work as an attorney and over 20 years leading his family’s local insurance business.  

Cows Eat Free to Celebrate Chick-fil-A East Greenwich
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, cows will eat free on opening day! Dacey and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for one free entrée.  

  • Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s East Greenwich’s turn to join the herd.  
  • Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée* in person inside the restaurant. 

Caring for the East Greenwich Community
Dacey is committed to giving back to the East Greenwich community by:  

  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater East Greenwich area to aid in the fight against hunger.  
  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
