Restaurant adds more than 120 jobs to local economy
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Dec. 4, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Springfield community on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Joe Pecoraro to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A East Springfield.
Located at 1655 Boston Road, Chick-fil-A East Springfield will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and Mobile Thru.

Pecoraro is committed to caring for the Springfield community by:
- Creating approximately 120 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts in the greater Springfield area.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 42 million meals to date with over 2,500 restaurants participating.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model drives meaningful economic growth at the local level. Each restaurant is owned and operated by a single individual — a small business owner who lives in the community, creates jobs, mentors talent and reinvests directly into the local economy. Pecoraro will work in his restaurant side by side with Team Members each day.
“Becoming a Chick-fil-A Operator is truly a dream come true,” said Pecoraro. “The journey from Team Member to local Owner-Operator has been incredibly rewarding. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to now help my team grow into leaders, see them reach their full potential and serve the Springfield community together.”
Originally from Cape Cod, Pecoraro was first introduced to Chick-fil-A while in college in Florida. In 2016, he began working at Chick-fil-A to help pay for college – and to save for an engagement ring. A year later, he married his wife, Julie, whom he met in second grade and worked with at their local Chick-fil-A restaurant. After college graduation, he joined the restaurant’s leadership team. That experience sparked his passion for Chick-fil-A and inspired him to pursue a lifelong career with the company.
In 2025, after completing two and a half years in the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, Pecoraro relocated to Yonkers, New York, to support a new restaurant there before being selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A East Springfield. Joe, Julie and their daughter Lily look forward to planting roots in New England and serving their new community.
