Chick-fil-A Announces First Forsyth Restaurant, Opening Sept. 10

Restaurant to Bring Approximately 120 Jobs, Guests Invited to Dress in Cow Print on Opening Day for Free Entrée

Forsyth, Ill. (Sept. 3, 2026) – The first Chick-fil-A® restaurant in Forsyth will begin serving Guests on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6:30 a.m., with Chick-fil-A, Inc. selecting Brian Bundy to serve as its local Owner-Operator.

Located at 1275 S. Route 51, Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, and catering. The restaurant marks Chick-fil-A‘s entry in Forsyth, bringing the brand’s signature hospitality and approximately 120 new jobs to the community.

To celebrate, Guests are invited to join the fun by dressing in cow print on opening day to receive a free entrée!

  • Since joining Chick-fil-A in 2018, Bundy has grown from Team Member to local Owner-Operator, serving in leadership roles across Pennsylvania and Arizona before participating in the
    Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, where he traveled nationwide supporting restaurants, developing leaders and helping prepare new restaurants for opening.  
  • Bundy’s journey – from serving as a corrections officer to becoming a Team Member and local Owner-Operator – inspires his passion for investing in others by helping Team Members build confidence, develop new skills and pursue meaningful opportunities.
  • Drawn to Chick-fil-A’s people-first culture, Bundy is excited to bring Chick-fil-A‘s signature hospitality to Forsyth while building lasting relationships throughout the community.

To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, Bundy and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for a free entrée.

  • Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Forsyth’s turn to join the herd.
  • Guests dressed in cow print on opening day – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple
    cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée or kid’s meal* in person inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.

Caring for the Forsyth Community
In celebration of Chick-fil-A’s Hunger Action Month, Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur is committed to supporting efforts to address food insecurity and help provide meals for neighbors throughout the Forsyth-Decatur community. This includes:

  • Providing a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support the local hunger relief efforts of Central Illinois Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
  • Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur will donate surplus food to Good Samaritan Inn through the
    Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which has helped to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.

“Good Samaritan Inn is incredibly grateful for our partnership with Chick-fil-A Forsyth-Decatur and their commitment to caring for our community,” said Tanya Melendez, Executive Director of Good Samaritan Inn. “Their support will help us continue providing meals to our neighbors in need and be there for our community 365 days a year.”
