Restaurant Brings Approximately 120 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year

FRANKFORT, III. (March 27, 2025) – The first Chick-fil-A® restaurant in Frankfort will begin serving the community on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Joy Dodge as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Frankfort.

Located at 20091 S. La Grange Road, Chick-fil-A Frankfort will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and Mobile Thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A Frankfort joins more than 50 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Chicago market.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local
Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.

In Frankfort, Dodge will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Frankfort community’s needs.

A Chicagoland native, Dodge grew up in the Wheaton area, where her journey to becoming a local Owner-Operator began. At 16 years old, she began her first job serving as a Team Member and experienced the power of mentorship at her local Chick-fil-A restaurant. Her hard work throughout high school earned her a Chick-fil-A Remarkable FuturesTM Scholarship, which helped pay for her college education. After earning her degree, she considered pursuing careers in education or financial services but felt called to return to the restaurant. She then served in various leadership positions at Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Wheaton area, and went on to join the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, where she gained valuable business and leadership experience before being selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Frankfort.

Dodge, who is celebrating 12 years with Chick-fil-A this year, is grateful for the opportunity to now open her own restaurant, where she looks forward to creating a welcoming space where people can gather for delicious food and stay for the sense of community that makes Frankfort special.

“When I started working at my local Chick-fil-A restaurant as a teenager, I never could have imagined how the next decade of my life would unfold. From helping pay for my education to meeting my husband and building life-long relationships, I’m truly appreciative for the experiences that have shaped my journey,” Dodge said. “My local Chick-fil-A has been a meaningful part of my story, and I can’t wait to start this next chapter in Frankfort and to create meaningful experiences at the restaurant for our Team Members, Guests and the community.”

Caring for the Frankfort Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education and specific community needs.

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to Northern Illinois Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.

Dodge’s restaurant is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 35 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,300 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Frankfort is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Frankfort area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
