Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
AURORA, Colo. (May 7, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Aurora community at its newest location on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Shane Weeks as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Gartrell Rd. & Hwy 470, marking his second restaurant in the community.
To celebrate, Weeks and team are inviting the community to wear cow print at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-themed accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal in the drive-thru or at the walk-up window.
Located at 7495 S Gartrell Road, Chick-fil-A Gartrell Rd. & Hwy 470 will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and Mobile Thru. Designed for speed and efficiency, this drive-thru focused location offers added convenience to serve Guests through its drive-thru and a walk-up window for carry-out. Chick-fil-A Gartrell Rd. & Hwy 470 is Chick-fil-A’s second drive-thru focused location in Colorado.

“As a local Owner-Operator working alongside my team every day, I have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful, lasting impact,” said Weeks. “The opening of this restaurant allows me to connect with more Team Members and support their personal and professional growth, while also giving our team another chance to serve our community.”
Weeks began his Chick-fil-A career in 1995 as a Team Member at his local restaurant in Texas, eventually working his way up to interim manager at a mall location while pursuing his college degree. After meeting his wife through mutual friends, he moved to Colorado to be closer to her and took a different job. It didn’t take long, however, for Weeks to realize his true passion was making an impact on others, leading him back to Chick-fil-A to pursue local ownership.
Today, Weeks operates Chick-fil-A Southlands, a role he will continue alongside this new drive-thru focused restaurant. With more than a decade of experience as an Operator in the Aurora community, he remains committed to developing his team, creating opportunities for growth and fostering a culture of care for the community and Guests passing through.
Caring for the Aurora Community
Weeks is committed to giving back to the Aurora community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Denver area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 50 jobs.
