Restaurant Creates Approximately 120 Jobs, Guests Invited to Dress in Cow Print on Opening Day for Free Entrée
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Sept. 30, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving Guests in Clinton Township on Friday, Oct. 3. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Dennis Sampier, current local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Shelby Township, to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank.
Located at 18800 Hall Road, Chick-fil-A Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for dine-in, carry-out and delivery. The drive-thru will be open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank restaurant brings approximately 120 jobs to the community and joins 19 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the Detroit market.
To celebrate the opening, Guests are welcome to join the fun by dressing in cow print on opening day to receive a free entrée.
Locally Owned and Operated
“Food is such a powerful way to connect with people – everyone has to eat, and who you share a meal with truly matters,” said Sampier. “From the first time my wife Rebekah and I ate at Chick-fil-A, we were struck by the amazing food and the hospitality that made us feel at home. As Chick-fil-A Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank opens its doors, I’m excited to create a space where our Guests feel welcomed and genuinely cared for and to deepen our impact in Macomb County with our second restaurant.”
More About Dennis
- A lifelong Michigander, Sampier grew up in nearby Harsens Island and attended Macomb Community College.
- Sampier spent 25 years working in professional sports before pursuing his dream of becoming a local Owner-Operator. That dream became a reality in 2021 with the opening of Chick-fil-A Shelby Township, which Sampier will continue to own and operate along with Chick-fil-A Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank.
- Chick-fil-A Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank will be a true family business, with Sampier’s wife and three sons working alongside him to serve the community.
Opening Weekend Celebrations
- To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, cows will eat free on opening day! Sampier and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for one free entrée.
- Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Clinton Township’s turn to join the herd.
- Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée* in person inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
- Chick-fil-A Hall Rd. & Romeo Plank will continue the celebrations on Saturday, Oct. 4 with Michigan Sports Day, during which one eligible Guest will be awarded Free Chick-fil-A for a year* by dressing in gear supporting your favorite Michigan high school, college or pro sports team.
Caring for the Clinton Township Community
Sampier is committed to giving back to the Clinton Township community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Detroit area to aid in the fight against hunger.
