Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Jobs to Community, Donates $25,000 to Address Food Insecurity
WHIPPANY, N.J. (April 14, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is ready to serve Whippany at its newest location opening on Thursday, April 17, 2025, creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Drew Blind to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Hanover Towne Center.
Located at 799 Route-10, the new restaurant will serve guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, and Mobile Thru. The restaurant’s drive-thru will remain open until 10 p.m.

“My journey with Chick-fil-A has always been about more than just running a restaurant — it’s about creating opportunities, investing in people and making a lasting impact,” said Blind. “With this new restaurant, I look forward to welcoming more Guests, developing future leaders and continuing to serve a community that means so much to me.
- Blind’s passion for hospitality began in a pizza parlor, where he developed a deep appreciation for community and service.
- He joined Chick-fil-A in 2003 as a Team Member, even donning the iconic Cow mascot costume at times!
- In 2015, he became the local Owner-Operator at a Chick-fil-A mall location in Paramus and four years later, he opened Chick-fil-A Morris Plains, which was the first Chick-fil-A in Morris County.
- Chick-fil-A Hanover Towne Center is Blind’s second location in Morris County. He’s eager to deepen community ties, create career opportunities and give back to the place he proudly calls home.

Blind is committed to giving back to the Whippany community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 35 million meals to date.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support the local hunger relief efforts of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
- Recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Whippany community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
