CORNELIUS, Ore. (Oct. 1, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving Guests in Cornelius on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 a.m., with Chick-fil-A, Inc. selecting Nyan Cianciosa to serve as its local Owner-Operator.

Located at 390 Baseline St., Chick-fil-A Hwy 8 & 4th Ave will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 pm., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, catering
pick-up and Mobile Thru. Chick-fil-A Hwy 8 & 4th Ave brings approximately 90 jobs to the community and joins more than 13 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the greater Portland market.

To celebrate, Guests are invited to join the fun by dressing in cow print on opening day to receive a free entrée.

 Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated by a single individual, with local Owner-Operators serving as small business owners who are invested in the growth of their restaurants and Team Members. In Cornelius, Cianciosa will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business.

“I started my journey with Chick-fil-A as a Team Member more than a decade ago, and now I’m fulfilling one of my longtime dreams of becoming the local Owner-Operator of my own restaurant,” said Cianciosa. “I’m looking forward to opening our doors and serving the Cornelius community with excellent food and hospitality, while setting an example for my daughters of what it means to lead with care and build meaningful relationships.”

More About Cianciosa

  • After joining the Chick-fil-A team in 2014 as a Team Member, Cianciosa was inspired to pursue
becoming a local Owner-Operator after learning of the career advancement opportunities and seeing the dedication to quality service firsthand.
  • Cianciosa participated in the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, a 24- to 36-month program that develops emerging business leaders through hands-on experiences at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide. Participants work alongside restaurant teams building skills in operations, team leadership and business management.
  • Driven by his vision of becoming one of the most caring restaurants in Cornelius, Cianciosa hopes to make a meaningful impact in the community by building strong connections with Guests and Team Members alike.

Opening Day Moove-In Party at Chick-fil-A Hwy 8 & 4th Ave
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, Cianciosa and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for a free entrée.

  • Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Cornelius’ turn to join the herd.
  • Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée or kid’s meal* in person inside the restaurant.

Caring for the Cornelius Community
Cianciosa is committed to giving back to the Cornelius community by:

  • Providing a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Cornelius area to aid in the fight to end hunger.
  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. The program has helped to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
