Restaurant Brings Approximately 120 Jobs to Community, Honor 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year

ISABELA, Puerto Rico (June 19, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant is ready to serve Isabela at its newest location opening on Thursday, June 26, creating approximately 120 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected David Firpo to be the local Owner-Operator of the new restaurant.  

Located at Plaza Isabela at 3535 Ave. Militar, Chick-fil-A Isabela will serve guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery from Uber Eats and catering. The restaurant will feature a multi-lane drive-thru featuring an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering to enhance both the Guest and Team Member experience.

“Growing up in Puerto Rico, I was surrounded by a culture of warmth, resilience and community – a spirit I carry with me every day,” said Firpo. “I’m grateful and proud to represent Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality on the west side of the island, especially with my family by my side. My hope is that every Guest who walks through our doors feels welcomed and completely at home.”  

Born in San Juan with roots in Cabo Rojo, Firpo built a successful career in finance and operations, holding executive leadership roles across several companies. A standout moment of service at a
Chick-fil-A restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida, sparked a new passion for hospitality and giving back. With encouragement from his youngest daughter, he pursued becoming a Chick-fil-A Operator and now looks forward to serving the Isabela community with his family.

Firpo is committed to giving back to the Isabela community by recognizing the Escuela Superior Vocacional Dr. Heriberto Domenech and the Policía Municipal de Isabela. Also, he plans to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table^® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 35 million meals to date in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
