Restaurant adds more than 100 jobs to local economy
LANCASTER, Ohio (March 5, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Lancaster community at its newest location on Thursday, March 12 at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Julia Herrington to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Chick-fil-A Lancaster.
Located at 1513 Ety Road, Chick-fil-A Lancaster will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru.
To celebrate the opening, Herrington and team are inviting the community to show their spots a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.

Herrington is committed to caring for the Lancaster community by:
- Creating approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Mid-Ohio Food Collective, a Feeding America partner food bank.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 42 million meals to date with over 2,500 restaurants participating.

Each restaurant is owned and operated by a single individual — a small business owner who lives in the community, creates jobs, mentors talent and reinvests directly into the local economy. Herrington will work in her restaurant side by side with Team Members each day.

Now, as we open the first Chick-fil-A in Lancaster, I’m excited to invest in our people by creating meaningful career paths while also building a place where the entire community can gather, build relationships and grow together.”
Herrington began her Chick-fil-A career seven years ago as a Team Member and has since growth through leadership roles within the Company. Inspired by the mentorship she received early in her journey, she is passionate about developing others and creating meaningful opportunities for her team. Today, she is honored to open the first Chick-fil-A in Lancaster and invest in the community.
