Chick-fil-A Announces New Latham Restaurant, Opening May 14

Restaurant Creates Approximately 120 Jobs, Guests Invited to Dress in Cow Print on Opening Day for Free Entrée

LATHAM, N.Y.  (May 7, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving Guests in Latham on Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Jeremiah Mills Lamptey to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Latham Farms.  

Located at 579 Troy Schenectady Rd., Chick-fil-A Latham Farms will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, catering and Mobile Thru. The Latham restaurant brings approximately 120 jobs to the community and joins four other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the Albany market. 

To celebrate the opening, Guests are welcome to join the fun by dressing in cow print on opening day to receive a free entrée.

More About Mills Lamptey 

  • Born in Ghana and raised in Virginia, Mills Lamptey’s Chick-fil-A journey began as a Team Member when he was a teenager and deepened through the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, where he gained hands-on operational experience at restaurants nationwide, including in Clifton Park Center.  
  • His time in the Capital Region left a lasting impression, and now, Mills Lamptey is excited to bring that same culture of leadership and care to serving the Capital Region. 

Opening Day Moove-In Party at Chick-fil-A Latham Farms
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, Mills Lamptey and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for one free meal.  

  • Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Latham’s turn to join the herd.  
  • Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée* in person inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru. 

Caring for the Latham Community
Mills Lamptey is committed to giving back to the Latham community by: 

  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant. 
  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date. When there is surplus food, Chick-fil-A Latham Farms will donate it to Joseph’s House. This program has helped create 42 million meals nationwide to date.
