Investing in the Tucson Community
Romo-Teran is committed to caring for the Tucson community by:
- Creating approximately 200 full- and part-time jobs, in addition to the 100 individuals employed at Romo-Teran’s other restaurant. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts in the greater Tucson area.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 42 million meals to date with over 2,500 restaurants participating.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model drives meaningful economic growth at the local level. Each restaurant is owned and operated by a single individual — a small business owner who lives in the community, creates jobs, mentors talent and reinvests directly into the local economy. Romo-Teran will work in both restaurants side by side with Team Members each day.
“Funnily enough, even though I grew up in Georgia, I did not have Chick-fil-A until I started working there in high school! And now I am opening my second restaurant,” said Romo-Teran. “From the moment I joined the Chick-fil-A team, I recognized their commitment to quality, culture and genuine care for people. My goal is to extend that care to everyone I meet and to give back to my community through service, opportunity and kindness.”
Romo-Teran began his journey with Chick-fil-A as a Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A Peachtree Corners. After spending several years serving as a Team Member at various restaurants, he decided to join the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program to accelerate his growth within the business. In 2019, he opened his first restaurant in Tucson, Chick-fil-A I-19 & Irvington, where he has fostered a community based on serving with joy and creating remarkable experiences. Now, he is grateful for the opportunity to support his team’s growth and expand the culture he has cultivated at his current restaurant.
