Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Donates $25,000 to Address Food Insecurity

MATTESON, III. (May 8, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant is ready to serve Matteson at its newest location opening on Thursday, May 15, 2025, creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Daniel Watson to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Matteson.

Located at 5000 211 Street, the new restaurant will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and catering pick-up from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Matteson will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

Locally Owned and Operated

• Originally from Chicagoland, Watson developed a passion for service, leadership and community impact through mission-driven work.
• Inspired by his brother-in-law, a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator in Tennessee, he pursued a career with Chick-fil-A, starting as a Team Member.
• After earning a Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ Scholarship and joining the Chick-fil-A^® Leadership Development Program, he was selected to open his own restaurant back home in Chicagoland.

Caring for the Matteson Community 
Watson is committed to giving back to the Matteson community by:

• Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table^® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 35 million meals to date.
• Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Greater Chicago Food Depository, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
• Recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Matteson community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
