Chick-fil-A Expands Footprint in Upstate New York with 6 New Restaurants Planned by 2029

New Restaurants in the Capital Region, Finger Lakes and Southern Tier to Generate 600+ Jobs

ALBANY, N.Y. (March 11, 2026) – Chick-fil-A® is furthering its investment in New York with six new locally owned and operated restaurants set to open in the Capital Region, Finger Lakes and Southern Tier by end of 2029. The restaurants will create over 600 jobs in these growth regions, and the company will donate $150,000 to local food banks in celebration of the restaurant openings.

Regional Growth
Since opening its first restaurant in the region in 2018, Chick-fil-A has grown its presence to 12 restaurants, bringing its signature hospitality and fresh, delicious food to Guests. Over the next several years, Guests can anticipate new restaurants in the following areas:

  • Finger Lakes: Following the recent restaurant opening of Chick-fil-A Citygate in February, newrestaurants in Penfield and Victor are slated to open in 2026.  
  • Capital Region: Two restaurants are planned for Latham and Albany, with openings anticipated between 2026 and 2029.
  • Southern Tier: Two restaurants are planned for Johnson City and Vestal, expected to open between 2026 and 2027.

Caring for the New York Community:
Chick-fil-A restaurants across its New York growth areas are passionate about showing care to the communities they serve through several initiatives, including:

  • Redirecting Surplus Food: Through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ program, over 43,000 meals have been donated since 2021, with the number continuing to grow.
  • Nonprofit Grants: Chick-fil-A, Inc. has awarded more than $1.5 million in grants to 15 nonprofits as a part of the True Inspiration Awards®
  • Feeding America Donations: In celebration of the six restaurant openings, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 per restaurant to Feeding America, supporting local New York food banks in the fight against hunger. Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has donated more than $175,000 to Feeding America.  
  • Developing Future Leaders: Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has awarded $90,000 worth of scholarships to 54 Team Members to support continued education. To learn more about careers at
