Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
COLUMBIA, Md. (March 26, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Columbia community on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Joe Dinoto Sr. as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Snowden River Pkwy restaurant. Dinoto has operated
Chick-fil-A restaurants in Columbia for 35 years. He previously operated the Columbia Mall and Executive Park Drive restaurants and presently operates the Dobbin Center.
To celebrate, Dinoto and team are inviting the community to show their spots at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 9081 Snowden River Pkwy, Chick-fil-A Snowden River Pkwy will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, curbside pick-up, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Snowden River Pkwy will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

“More than 20 years ago, I expressed interest in opening a Chick-fil-A in this exact location,” said Dinoto. “Seeing Chick-fil-A Snowden River Pkwy open is a dream come true. This community has always meant so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving and building relationships with the Guests who make Columbia so special.”
After retiring from the Army, Dinoto was invited to visit the Chick-fil-A Support Center in Atlanta, an experience that ultimately inspired him to pursue becoming a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator. In 1990, he was selected as a local Owner-Operator and helped operate some of the first free-standing Chick-fil-A restaurants in Maryland. Dinoto will continue to own and operate Chick-fil-A Dobbin Center in addition to this new restaurant. Being a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator runs in the family: Joe’s two sons also are multi-unit local Owner-Operators in Anne Arundel, Howard and Prince Georges counties.
Caring for the Columbia Community
Dinoto is committed to giving back to the Columbia community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Baltimore area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 70 part-and full-time jobs.
