Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
LANSING, Mich. (April 30, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the South Lansing community at its newest location on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Tyler Bursick as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A South Cedar.
To celebrate, Bursick and team are inviting the community to show their spots at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 6430 S Cedar St., Chick-fil-A South Cedar will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A South Cedar will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

Bursick began his Chick-fil-A journey as a Team Member at age 16 and grew up with the Brand over the years, eventually serving as a General Manager before being selected as the local
Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A South Cedar. Mentors throughout his career invested in his development, inspiring his passion for leadership and helping others grow. Today, he is excited to bring that same people-first culture to his restaurant.

Bursick is committed to giving back to the South Lansing community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Greater Lansing Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 110 jobs.
