New location celebrates with Cows Eat Free offer on opening day
SOUTH SALISBURY, Md. (Feb. 16, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the South Salisbury community on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Steve Gibson as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A South Salisbury.
To celebrate the opening, Gibson and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 828 S Salisbury Blvd., Chick-fil-A South Salisbury will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru.

“Opening day is our chance to celebrate the Salisbury community in the most fun way possible,” said Gibson. “Opening Chick-fil-A South Salisbury is a full-circle moment. I never could’ve imagined that my first job as a Team Member would one day lead to me serving as a local Owner-Operator alongside my father in my hometown.”
A Salisbury native, Gibson began his Chick‑fil‑A journey in 2004 as a Team Member. Gibson’s passion for providing Guests with an exceptional dining experience, along with his commitment to mentoring and developing Team Members, inspired him to pursue opportunities as a local Owner Operator. After serving in various roles within the restaurant, he was selected as the local Owner-Operator of
Chick-fil-A South Salisbury. Continuing a family legacy of service, Gibson follows in the footsteps of his father, who is a longtime Chick‑fil‑A local Owner‑Operator in the community.
Caring for the Salisbury Community
Gibson is committed to giving back to the Salisbury community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Salisbury area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 100 part- and full-time jobs.
