Restaurant celebrates with Cows Eat Free offer on opening day
TIFTON, GA. (Jan. 29, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Tifton community at its newest location on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected David Pettis as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tift Ave, making this his second location in the Tifton area.
To celebrate the opening, Pettis and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 1601 N. Tift Ave., Chick-fil-A Tift Ave will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Tift Ave will also feature a play space to serve Guests with children.

“I have been fortunate to call Tifton my home for close to 30 years,” said David Pettis. “Tifton has given so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships and trust I have developed here. Opening this second location is especially meaningful because it represents continued growth alongside a community that has always supported us.”
Pettis first began serving the Tifton community when he opened Chick-fil-A Tifton in 1997, and since then has grown a team known for its close ties to the community and commitment to excellent service. He was initially inspired to pursue local ownership by the first Owner-Operator he served for as a Team Member in Florida when he was 15 years old. Pettis witnessed the impact strong leadership can have on a team and community, which shaped how he approaches leadership today – developing Team Members, fostering growth and creating a positive environment.
As he opens this new location, Pettis looks forward to building on the relationships he’s developed over nearly three decades by creating even more opportunities to serve and connect with Guests through community favorites like bingo nights, Cow Tales story hour, Trunk or Treat and more.
Caring for the Tifton Community
Pettis is committed to giving back to the Tifton community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Southwest Georgia area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 100 jobs.
