Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Oct. 22, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Philadelphia community on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026 at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Julia Clifton as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A W. Oregon Ave.
To celebrate, Clifton and team are inviting the community to celebrate at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal in the drive-thru.
Located at 2281 Oregon Ave., at the intersection of 23rd Street, Chick-fil-A W. Oregon Ave will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Designed for speed and efficiency, this drive thru-focused location offers added convenience to serve Guests through its drive-thru and a walk-up window for carry-out. The restaurant also features a 38-seat outdoor patio with views of the Philadelphia skyline.

“Philadelphia has always been home, so opening Chick-fil-A W. Oregon Ave is personal for me,” said Clifton. “South Philadelphia’s grit, work ethic and deep sense of community remind me so much of my upbringing. My hope is for our restaurant to reflect the same spirit and be a place rooted in connection, fun and care, where neighbors feel welcome and Team Members have opportunities to grow.”
A Philadelphia native, Clifton began her Chick-fil-A journey as a Team Member as a teenager. As her passion for business and serving others grew, Clifton continued working at Chick-fil-A while earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from La Salle University and a Master of Science in Organizational & Strategic Leadership from Neumann University. Encouragement from a restaurant leader set her on the path to becoming an Owner-Operator.
Opening Chick-fil-A W. Oregon Ave brings Clifton’s journey full circle. Her father was born in South Philadelphia and worked at the nearby Philadelphia Navy Yard for more than 30 years. Now, as a first-time local Owner-Operator, Clifton is proud to serve a community that has long been part of her family’s story and create opportunities for future leaders.
Caring for the Philadelphia Community
Clifton is committed to giving back to the Philadelphia community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Philabundance, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 50 million meals nationwide to date. Chick-fil-A W. Oregon Ave will donate surplus food to Caring for Friends, a local nonprofit whose mission is to provide food and friendship to seniors, kids and adults.
- Hiring more than 110 Team Members.
- Enhancing the surrounding area by planting more than 30 trees and improving pedestrian accessibility with new and updated sidewalks.
