Locally Owned and Operated
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
At Chick-fil-A Waxahachie South, Browne will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full-and part-time Team Members, serving Guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Browne’s inspiring journey to becoming a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator began in 1996 when he started as a Team Member at the restaurant formerly known as Chick-fil-A Tucker Station in Georgia. He often wondered what it would take to be successful in the restaurant industry and shortly after he started, an inspiring conversation with a Company leader turned into a glowing recommendation for an opportunity that would support Browne’s dream of one day owning his own business. He transferred to Chick-fil-A Perimeter Pointe in the greater Atlanta area, beginning his connection with local Owner-Operator Alex Rodriguez. Rodriguez’ guidance was critical in Browne’s career path and he went on to become Browne’s mentor for the next 25 years, teaching Browne how to maximize his innate servant leadership skills and showing him the tools for success as an entrepreneur.
With that encouragement and direction, Browne grew from a Team Member to an Assistant Manager and was then selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Lufkin Mall in Texas, where he served for five years. In 2004, he was selected to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Waxahachie North, which he will continue to operate alongside the new restaurant.
Browne is committed to impacting lives inside and outside of the restaurant by providing opportunities for Team Members, supporting the community and hosting restaurant events to meaningfully connect with Guests. Now, Browne, his wife Kara and their four children are thrilled about the opportunity to expand and serve more Guests at Chick-fil-A Waxahachie South.
“Our hope from day one in Waxahachie was to be a pillar of this community, and we’re so grateful that over the last 20 years, we’ve been able to do that at our restaurant,” said Browne. “As a young Team Member, I had no idea that I would have the opportunity to one day become a local Owner-Operator and serve Guests who are now like family. This is our home and it’s an exciting opportunity to connect with more of our community with this new restaurant.”
Caring for the Waxahachie Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Waxahachie South is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Waxahachie area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Browne’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A Operators are committed to hiring, developing and retaining top talent and providing a positive work environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Team Members have opportunities for flexible work hours and leadership growth, competitive pay and benefits, hands-on training and mentoring and the chance to apply for scholarships to support their continuing education.
Delicious Food; Outstanding Customer Service
Chick-fil-A is known for serving customers great-tasting food made with high-quality ingredients, including the original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich. Made with a real, whole, boneless breast of chicken with no added fillers, the breaded chicken is pressure cooked in fully-refined peanut oil. Chick-fil-A was one of the first in the industry to eliminate chicken raised with antibiotics to ensure guests have an option for high-quality food on the go.
To complement the great-tasting chicken, fresh produce is delivered to Chick-fil-A restaurants up to six times a week for the best quality and flavor. The fresh ingredients are raised and grown by farmers who share the company's elevated quality and safety standards, so guests feel good about their meal.
