Restaurant hosts Moove-In Party to celebrate opening with community
WOOSTER, Ohio (Sept. 21, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Wooster community on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Joe Laughlin as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Wooster.
To celebrate, Laughlin and team are inviting the community to show their spots at a Moove-In Party on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow spots can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 4147 Burbank Road, Chick-fil-A Wooster will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Wooster will also feature a playground for Guests with children.

“Wooster has been home to our family for nearly a decade. My wife and I met nearby, we’ve raised our family here and we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to open Chick-fil-A Wooster and serve a community that means so much to us,” said Laughlin. “We’ve already felt such a warm welcome from our neighbors, and we can’t wait to celebrate opening day together at the Moove-In Party.”
Laughlin’s journey to Chick-fil-A began in middle school, when a family friend who was a local Owner-Operator first introduced him to the Brand. Years later, he started working at a Chick-fil-A in eastern Maryland, where he was inspired by the restaurant’s people-first approach and the opportunity local Owner-Operators have to invest in their Team Members and community. Now, as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Wooster, Laughlin is proud to bring that same commitment to serving and developing others to the community he and his family call home.
Caring for the Wooster Community
Laughlin is committed to giving back to the Wooster community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Wooster area to aid in the fight against hunger.
- Supporting the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects/donates surplus food to local nonprofits. The program has helped create over 50 million meals nationwide to date.
- Creating approximately 100 jobs.
