Restaurant Brings Approximately 80 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
ROSEVILLE, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Roseville community on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Ben Lavin as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Blue Oaks. This will be Lavin’s second Chick-fil-A restaurant in the community he’s called home for nearly 20 years.
Located at 1490 Blue Oaks Blvd., Chick-fil-A Blue Oaks will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and third-party delivery from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The Blue Oaks restaurant joins more than 10 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Roseville, Lavin will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Roseville community’s needs.
Lavin’s career with Chick-fil-A began in 1998, as a restaurant Team Member. He worked at various Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout college and eventually had the opportunity to support local Owner-Operators in Arizona and California as the brand expanded throughout the western United States. Inspired by a desire to make positive change in the communities he served, Lavin decided to pursue the path to becoming a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator; in 2004, he was selected to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Pleasant Grove in Roseville, California.
For the past 19 years, Lavin has called Roseville home and fostered relationships with local organizations, schools and Guests. He and his Team Members are excited to continue serving the community, where they currently partner with over 40 local schools to support teachers and families. Lavin will continue to serve as local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Pleasant Grove, in addition to the new restaurant.
“When I moved to Roseville, I was so excited to serve the Sacramento area and to care for the families who chose to dine with us. Now, nearly 20 years later, I continue to be driven by my desire to serve Guests and community members,” Lavin said. “I not only want to serve our Guests, but also invest in our Team Members. They are the heartbeat of our restaurant.”
Caring for the Roseville Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Placer Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
Lavin’s restaurant is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Blue Oaks is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Roseville area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Team Member Investment

A career at Chick-fil-A offers a wide range of benefits, including hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work.
