Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year

SAN MATEO, Calif. (Aug. 5, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the San Mateo community on Thursday, Aug. 8. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Reagan Collier as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Bridgepointe San Mateo.

Located at 3000 Bridgepointe Parkway, Chick-fil-A Bridgepointe San Mateo will be open for dine-in, carry-out and delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The Chick-fil-A Bridgepointe San Mateo restaurant joins 23 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Bay Area market.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.

In San Mateo, Collier will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the San Mateo community’s needs.

Before making her way to The Golden State, Collier’s roots were in Decatur, Alabama. She pursued her education at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, focusing on engineering and industrial management. Her Chick-fil-A journey began in Texas, where Reagan worked for the Chick-fil-A Operations team, before she advanced to the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, which eventually brought her to California. Collier quickly fell in love with the state during her final assignment and decided to make the move to the West Coast in 2020. Calling California home ever since, Collier has served as a local Owner-Operator of the Chick-fil-A Whipple & 101 restaurant in Redwood City for several years, and she cannot wait for this next evolution in her Chick-fil-A journey, as she will also step into the local Owner-Operator role for Chick-fil-A Bridgepointe San Mateo.

“When I joined Chick-fil-A almost 10 years ago, what really got me excited was the company’s focus on making every Guest feel right at home. It’s all about creating that positive experience where people can connect over great food,” Collier said. “I’m really looking forward to serving more of the Bay Area community. We’re not just bringing our delicious meals, we’re also bringing that special Chick-fil-A hospitality to our Guests and amazing growth opportunities to our Team Members.”

Caring for the San Mateo Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Bay Area market to aid in the fight against hunger.

Collier’s restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 25 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Bridgepointe San Mateo is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the San Mateo area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
