YORKTOWN, VA (May 14, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Yorktown community at its newest location on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 6:00 a.m., creating approximately 110 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Josh Burnette to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Grafton, marking Burnette’s second restaurant in the community.

Located at 5600 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Chick-fil-A Grafton will serve Guests Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, mobile pick-up, third party delivery, catering and Mobile Thru.

Locally Owned and Operated
“York County is home for my family; it means a lot to continue growing in a community that’s supported us for so many years,” said Burnette. “What makes this area so special is the connection between families, schools and local organizations, and we’re grateful to be part of that. We hope this new restaurant will be a place where people come together and spend time with the ones they care about.”

Burnette began his Chick-fil-A journey at age 14 as a Team Member in Virginia Beach, where his father served as the local Owner-Operator. Since then, he has held a deep love for the brand, serving in a variety of restaurants, from mall locations to free-standing buildings. He even met the love of his life — his wife Katie — while working for the company.

Today, Burnette operates Chick-fil-A Victory Boulevard in York County and is highly immersed in the community, supporting local schools, families and community organizations. Throughout his career, he has awarded nearly $250,000 in Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarships to Team Members and donated food, helping to create thousands of meals through Chick-fil-A Shared Table®. With this new location, he is excited to add another Chick-fil-A playground in the community, creating an even more welcoming space for families.

Caring for the Yorktown Community
Burnette is committed to giving back to the Yorktown community by:

  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support the local hunger relief efforts of Virginia Peninsula Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
  • Expanding his participation in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create more than 42 million meals nationwide to date. Burnette partners with THRIVE Peninsula at Chick-fil-A Victory Boulevard and plans to continue his partnership at the new location.
  • Creating approximately 110 jobs.
