Locally Owned and Operated
“Chicago was the first place I ever called home, and I lived in Hyde Park during some of my core development years. Coming back to bring Chick-fil-A to an area where I still have a strong community means everything to me,” said Golden. “When I first experienced Chick-fil-A, I loved the food, but it was the service that truly left a mark – I look forward to bringing that welcoming environment to Hyde Park every day.”

More About Golden

  • Building on a successful sales career in North Carolina, Golden returns home with his family to open Chick-fil-A Hyde Park.
  • Golden has a passion for youth development and education, which he shares with his wife, an educator. He looks forward to using this restaurant as a platform to serve Hyde Park, creating opportunities for growth, mentorship and leadership, especially for young men.

Cows Eat Free to Celebrate Chick-fil-A Hyde Park
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, cows will eat free on opening day! Golden and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for one free entrée.

  • Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Hyde Park’s turn to join the herd.
  • Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée* in person inside the restaurant.

Caring for the Hyde Park Community
Golden is committed to giving back to the Hyde Park community by:

  • Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts at The Greater Chicago Food Depository, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
  • Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local nonprofits. When there is surplus food, Chick-fil-A Hyde Park will donate it to Pacific Garden Mission. This program has helped create over 42 million meals nationwide to date.
