First Standalone Coralville Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Jobs, Guests Invited to Dress in Cow Print on Opening Day for Free Entrée
CORALVILLE, Iowa (Sept. 16, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving Guests in Coralville on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 a.m., with Chase Williby serving as its local Owner-Operator. Williby will lead both the new standalone restaurant and Chick-fil-A Coral Ridge Mall, where he has served as local Owner-Operator since 2022.
Located at 704 1st Ave., Chick-fil-A Iowa River Landing will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and Mobile Thru. The restaurant brings approximately 100 jobs to the community.
To celebrate, Guests are invited to join the fun by dressing in cow print on opening day to receive a free entrée.

“After over a decade of serving Guests at our Coral Ridge Mall restaurant, we’re excited to open Coralville’s first standalone Chick-fil-A restaurant and create even more opportunities to connect with the community, said Williby. “This new location allows us to offer Guests even more convenience, including a drive-thru and expanded seating, making it easier for families and friends to gather and enjoy a meal together.”

- Williby began his Chick-fil-A journey as a Team Member in 2015 and steadily advanced through leadership roles, receiving a Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ Scholarship along the way. His experience ultimately inspired him to pursue the opportunity to become a local Owner-Operator.
- After returning to Iowa, his wife’s home state, in 2022, Williby became the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Coral Ridge Mall, where he has focused on serving Guests and building strong community connections.
- As he prepares to lead his second restaurant and first standalone location, Williby looks forward to creating more professional development opportunities for Team Members while continuing to deepen Chick-fil-A‘s connection to the Coralville community.
Opening Day Moove-In Party at Chick-fil-A Iowa River Landing
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, Williby and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow spots on opening day for a free entrée.
- Since 1995, the Cows have been a beloved part of Chick-fil-A, encouraging humans to skip burgers and “Eat More Chikin” – and now it’s Coralville’s turn to join the herd!
- Guests dressed in cow print – whether it’s a full cow costume or a simple cow-spotted accessory – can enjoy one free entrée or kid’s meal* in person inside the restaurant.
Caring for the Coralville Community
In celebration of Chick-fil-A’s Hunger Action Month, Chick-fil-A Iowa River Landing is committed to supporting efforts to address food insecurity and help provide meals for neighbors in the Coralville community by:
- Providing a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP), a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant. Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has donated over $150,000 to Feeding America partners across Iowa.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. Over 439,000 meals have been created through surplus food donations by Iowa restaurants since 2016, with the number continuing to grow.
