Restaurant Brings Approximately 110 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
SAGINAW, Mich. (Feb. 6, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Saginaw Township community on Thursday, Feb. 13. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Jon Cook as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tittabawassee Road – Saginaw (MI).
Located at 2525 Tittabawassee Rd., the restaurant will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Saginaw Township, Cook will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 110 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the community’s needs.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised around the country as a military child, Cook discovered his passion for serving others early in life. His journey of leadership and commitment to service started in 2010 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. After eight years as a United States Army Officer, Cook transitioned to civilian life and earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina before taking a role as an Operations Manager for a multi-national online retailer.
Inspired by Chick-fil-A's culture of genuine hospitality, leadership development and delicious food, Cook set his sights on becoming an Owner-Operator and began working as a part-time Team Member to learn the ropes of the business, serving Guests and his community. As the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tittabawassee Road – Saginaw, Cook looks forward to making a meaningful difference for the community that he now calls home alongside his wife and three kids. With Cook’s wife hailing from Flint, the return to Michigan is particularly special for their family.
“I feel so grateful for the opportunity to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tittabawassee Road – Saginaw and offer Guests fresh, delicious food in a space that feels like home,” said Cook. “It is my goal to create an environment where Team Members feel loved, cared for and inspired with a focus on investing in their future. Above all, I am committed to making a positive impact through service, leadership and care, while actively supporting and meeting the needs of our local community.”
Caring for the Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
Cook’s restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 35 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,300 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Tittabawassee Road – Saginaw (MI) is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the greater Saginaw area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
