Restaurant adds more than 75 jobs to local economy
LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (Feb. 23, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Lee’s Summit community at its newest location on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 75 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Lance Spencer to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Oldham Village, marking his second restaurant in the area.
Located at 1001 SW Jefferson Crossing, Chick-fil-A Oldham Village will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pick-up and Mobile Thru. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Oldham Village will also feature a play space to serve Guests with children.
Investing in the Lee’s Summit Community
Spencer is committed to caring for the Lee’s Summit community by:
- Creating approximately 75 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts in the greater Kansas City area.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 42 million meals to date with over 2,500 restaurants participating.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model drives meaningful economic growth at the local level. Each restaurant is owned and operated by a single individual — a small business owner who lives in the community, creates jobs, mentors talent and reinvests directly into the local economy. Spencer will work in his restaurant side by side with Team Members each day.
“Opening a second restaurant in Lee’s Summit is a humbling milestone for me and my team,” said Spencer. “This community has embraced us from the start, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to continue serving, mentoring and creating a positive impact, one meal and one relationship at a time.”
A Kansas City native, Spencer has proudly served as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Summit Fair since 2014. Over the past 11 years, he has mentored hundreds of Team Members and fostered a culture of growth and opportunity. Many of his Team Members have gone on to become nurses, teachers and leaders across various industries. In 2025 alone, Spencer’s team awarded $53,000 in scholarships to 26 Team Members, a testament to his commitment to empowering the next generation.
With the opening of Chick-fil-A Oldham Village, Spencer looks forward to extending his impact even further by providing more job opportunities, continued investment in Team Member development and delivering exceptional service to Guests.
