Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year

SEAGOVILLE, Texas (Oct. 28, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A^® restaurant will begin serving the Seagoville community on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Sean O’Neal, a Dallas native, as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Seagoville.

Located at 810 E. Malloy Bridge Road, Chick-fil-A Seagoville will be open for dine-in, carry-out and delivery from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the drive-thru open until 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The new restaurant will also feature Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where Guests can pick up orders placed ahead of time on the Chick-fil-A App^®.

The Seagoville restaurant joins more than 145 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Dallas-Ft. Worth market.

Locally Owned and Operated 
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.

In Seagoville, O’Neal will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Seagoville community’s needs. 

As a Dallas native, O’Neal began his journey with Chick-fil-A serving as Team Member his senior year of high school and continued to work at Chick-fil-A restaurants seasonally throughout college. After spending the last 10 years working at Chick-fil-A Sunnyvale with his mentor and friend Roger Clark, O’Neal was selected to own and operate his own restaurant. Along with his wife Kayla, O’Neal is most excited to bring the Seagoville community its own Chick-fil-A restaurant and focus on continued care for both his Team Members and Guests. 

“My vision for this new restaurant is to inspire care in our community by exemplifying excellence, generosity and genuine hospitality,” O’Neal said. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to expand on Chick-fil-A’s presence in Southeast Dallas and provide Team Members with resources to grow both personally and professionally.”

Caring for the Seagoville Community 
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs. 

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of North Texas Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.

O’Neal’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table^® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

In addition, Chick-fil-A Seagoville is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Seagoville area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
